A Relation
That which signifies towards another.
For example, the speed and direction of the spinning top on a table is a relation between the spin top and its location relative to other objects in space (or to space itself): the spinning movement of the spin top is not a part of it. On the contrary, the movements of the parts of an engine to facilitate it are parts of the engine as a whole and simultaneously are relations between the parts themselves. Thusly, a relation can be a part; but not all relations are parts.
Contrast with a part.
